The training was held in Pasig City. A total of 45 participants from 19 organizations attended the event. The main objective of the training is to introduce the concept of social return on investment as a means to measure social impact.<\/p>\n<p>Social Return on Investment (SROI) is a framework for measuring and accounting for a much broader concept of value; it seeks to reduce inequality and environmental degradation and improve wellbeing by incorporating social, environmental and economic costs and benefits.<\/p>\n<p>It was no less than the Chief Executive Officer of The SROI Network, Mr. Jeremy Nichols, who delivered the two-day training. He shared, \u201cstakeholders should always be involved in identifying the value of social impacts.\u201d Mariel Vincent Rapisura and Edwin Salonga, SEDPI President and Chairperson respectively, provided a local case for SROI.
