Microfinance Capacity Building
SEDPI provides capacity building services that empower microfinance institutions and social enterprises to achieve greater financial inclusion and social impact.
Over the years, SEDPI has trained nearly 33,000 microfinance and social enterprise practitioners representing around 3,200 development organizations across 31 countries worldwide including Austria, Belgium, Benin, Burkina Faso, Denmark, Egypt, Germany, France, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Macau, Netherlands, Nigeria, Norway, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, the United States, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
SEDPI has actively participated in international conferences to share its innovative microfinance and social enterprise models in Benin, Burkina Faso, India, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Nigeria, Spain, Sri Lanka, the United Kingdom, and the Philippines.
Through its partnership with Ateneo de Manila University, SEDPI implements the Ateneo-SEDPI Microfinance Capacity Building Program, which currently has 2,800 enrollees in the Diploma Course in Microfinance, with 500 graduates to date.
The organization has developed over 80 specialized courses in microfinance tailored to local realities yet aligned with international best practices and regularly conducts nationwide public-run trainings across the Philippines.
SEDPI’s microfinance interventions have demonstrated tangible impact among end clients of its partner institutions:
